Home front updates

Hi Guys,

You may be hearing about the fires in California; well, they are not joking! The one closest to us started in Sylmar, and it has spread all the way to Newhall Pass tonight, destroying many homes along the way. Then there are other ones in Orange County and near Santa Barbara, also many homes were burnt. It's a grim situation for many people! We are staying alert, and we're lucky that the Santa Ana wind has died down a bit. It is still in single-digit humidity though.

Amanda, I installed a new camera with microphone. I tested it, and it worked. So let's keep our finger crossed when we try to use it!

Dad still doesn't know what is in his elbow, althoug it's not getting more swollen. I'll keep you posted when we get the test back. For some reason, he is not getting email notifications when we post something on the blog. I really don't know how he has set it up. He is really happy to hear from you guys, but he doesn't have the time to check the blog often. But we are very lucky that he is stayting busy during the recession...it's a bit worrisome when I hear about the financial problems all over the world. That's why I am really trying to save as much as possible, although I am still paying the bills for our travel expenses. The washer just broke, and it's getting repaired this week. So please be understanding.
