the hitchhiker projection - mama's report

As you can see in the pictures and video clips, the project looks wonderful hung! The images definitely make a statement because of their size! ...But they are even better when you see them with the texts. The writing makes you look at the images more carefully. I saw some people go up close and examine the pores and hair on the faces. One girl said that if she were to be one of the subjects, she would have to have perfect skin that day! I didn't tell her your secret use of PhotoShop or some similar program. What made the show nicer than when I saw it on Monday was the lighting...John fixed the lights...I could tell! There was only one spot light pointing at the right place before. So I will thank him tomorrow.

Dad and I stayed for an hour. I took pics and clips at different times when different groups of people walked in. I was surprised that no one asked us if we were the subjects, especially the people who looked very carefully at the pictures and then looked at me and smiled. Maybe they assumed I was the Mama or someone heavily invested in the project...I was taking pictures and everything. Well, we didn't see anyone we know, but I know Kayla and her family attended. Several people had signed the guest book before we arrived. I didn't read every comment carefully, but overall they were great ones. I can call Lindsey and get the guest book, because I can mail it along your other things to you. Should I? Oh, Mrs. Miller attended the show...she is so sweet to both of you! Don't forget her, guys!

That's it for now. If you have any questions about the show, just ask me. I should get to sleep now. Congrats for the GREAT show, even though it's about 7000 miles away from you, Amanda!

Love you both,
Mama
