Wow, you do have really good news - Now Ben can put down in his resume that he has work experience in Europe as a chef/baker, which should kick him up a notch pursuing in the field in the U.S. I was happy to hear from our last conversation that not only he'll finish his schooling here but will also pursue a higher degree. In this competitive field, he should gain as much experience as possible and set himself apart with skills, specialization, innovation, and talent. He is a smart cookie - tell him to find a problem in his field and come up with a solution and then market it. My chef friend realized that people with chronic illnesses have a hard time finding already prepared meals for their conditions, so she will create a line of prepared foods catered to their needs. With so many people with chronic health issues nowadays, I think she will do very well. Of course she can't do this until she gets the right credentials like getting her dietitian title. Smart thinking and innovation in a competitive field go a long way. Also, networking with the right crowd is number one ingredient in paving your road to success in any field. I wish him best of luck!
I am so proud of you - Editor Intern! (I think it's actually a longer title.) It sounds impressive. I hope your work and school schedules work out well together. Be sure to take care of your body - you only have one! We'll call you later to chat more about your work - Dad wants to know more. ...And your landlord - how unscrupulous! We'll talk.
So can we chat using skype computer to computer now, so I don't have to pay? Let me know.
Talk to you soon.
Love,
Mama
