This is the official countdown site.
Wow, how time flies! Actually this is the theme of this year's Christmas cards, which have been sent out to thirty-five of our friends and family.
I remember when Amanda was being born: After going through the two-month-long natural-birth course with Dad, we decided to do the Le Boyer bath birth, which is believed to be a less stressful birthing method for both the baby and mother. It was really nice: Dad "received" Amanda, cut the cord, and gave her her first bath. No hitting the butt or bright light in the room - Amanda cried to inflate her lungs but seemed ready and content to be out. I did push for over thirteen hours and got worried when the doctors and nurses rushed into the room to proceed with an emergency C-section birth which is when you cut open the stomach to take the baby out. The head-nurse advised me to get on my hands and feet to make room for Amanda inside my womb, so I did and her heart beat became normal again for the birth method we had prepared for. What an experience! We chose the same birthing method for Daniel; by then Dad was a pro!
That was the beginning. It seems like yesterday.
I am glad you will have an adventurous 21st birthday - seeing new places and meeting new people. You will be inspired as an artist.
Always love you,
Mama
