Hello family,
Well... we do not have the internet yet so it has been a while since I got over to an internet cafe! So, to fill you in on recent life...
We got up on Monday morning to leave Prague and we walk out with all of our stuff piled up in our hands and our car was gone! We both thought it had been stollen. So we asked the security guards that worked at the building we were staying at to help us. Very long story short our car had been towed because all the czech signs around said that parking was for residents only... oops!
After getting the car back we went to the Erzgebirge region of Germany. It is on the Gremany/Czech border much more west than Prague and Berlin. It took us a long time to get there but it was worth it! It was so beautiful! Completely covered in snow! The reason why we went is because that region is famous throughout Germany for its woodcraft and xmas toy production... so cool! Apparently the people that originally settled there were miners and after a while they literally ran out of coal! Ridiculous! So they decided to make toys instead! It was crazy... literally like driving into the north pole!
So in other news Ben and I have been slaving away trying to make the apartment nice. A couple trips to IKEA and a lot of strange assembly directions later, the place is looking a lot better. We are preparing to leave for England in a few days and want to get the place together before then.
It was nice to log in and see everybodys news! Dan... that snowball fight must have been so insane! the picture is incredible! Dad, I am glad that you get to go diving again! Have you gotten an underwater case for your camera? And ma, thanks for thre nostalgia! Also, I am glad that you have been working on the house... we may be far away from each other but it sounds like we have been busy with the same things.
Lastly, I got my box today! So awesome to get some contact with the fam! And thanks so much for the stuff! I am wearing the leg warmers now... they are miraculous! It is so so so cold today, and our flat is not very well insulated so I wear all my layers inside too! Did you send the STA card?? I did not see it in the box?!
