Grandpa is okay, but he was in a bad car accident. He was driving up Sheldon on his way home when a highschool kid with two friends in a toyota pickup made a left turn right in front of him. He didn't even have time to touch the brakes; he was driving over 50. No one was seriously hurt. The kid said he didn't see grandpa, although he said he saw the cars behind him which he said were "1/2 a mile away".
Grandpa just bought a Volvo 940 a couple of months ago; it and the Toyota truck were totaled.
